A big age gap between siblings or stick with one?

Dh wants another child . I haven't for the last 6 years . Now ds is nearly 6 I am under pressure to go for it. On one hand I feel my reasons for not having another are selfish. I have a good career, I think I am a better mother to just one.
But.. dh wants ds to have a sibling and wants another child. I would like another child I think but not mad for the baby stage!!! Anyway it's crunch time as I am getting on

So for those of you who have been in similar position what did you do? How has it worked out for you?

I am content.. that's the problem.. the thought of going back to baby / toddler stages fill me with horror

Especially as everything is so easy now

Your reasons are just as valid as your DH's OP. He's putting pressure on you, but how much of the baby/toddler nonsense does he actually do? If he's a SAHD and you can go back to work quickly and your career not suffer too much, then that's one thing, but if he expects you to take maternity leave and then have several more years of career disruption while another DC goes through all the baby and childhood illnesses while you have to take time off work then I think he's be U.

I have a 7 Year age Gap.
DD9 and DS2
They have an amazing Bond. DD is like a second Mother to him! I was so worried how my DD would take it as she's never had to share me Before! But she's been Amazing!
I love the gap and I'm so glad I waited!

There's 10 years between my brother and I. 10 years between my brother and sister. And 20 years between my sister and I. I'm 25, my brother is 15 and my sister is 5. We all have the same mum. So there's literally 10 years between each of us. It worked well because I was so much older and could help more, especially the second time.
