Waterproof phone case

Trying to buy one, and am confused (easily done Confused).

How do I choose?

I want it to be properly and reliably waterproof, to be able to operate all the buttons at the sides (obviously the touchscreen, too), and to be able to use Bluetooth.

Help? Urgent birthday present hurry.

I LOVE LifeProof. I have had two Fre ones and they are great. Plus the customer service is wonderful.

How waterproof do you need it? I've dropped mine in the bath several times Blush but I wouldn't swim with it.

Lifeproof look good (i hadn't seen them before) but I'm not sure of the phone model - all I know is that it's a Motorola that's larger than my iPhone 6s. I'll try and find out exactly.

I think that I want a case with a lanyard so that it can be taken on flumes. I don't think it matters whether chargers or mics can be attached while the phone is in the waterproof case.

I've always had iPhones in them so no idea if they make them for Motorola.

Lanyard on a flume sounds like a recipe for strangulation. Really dangerous!

Sorry, jumping on this thread! Is there such thing as an iPhone 7 Plus phone case that you can take in the sea/swimming? We’re going on a beach holiday next year and wanted to take some underwater photos. I’d rather not need to buy a GoPro or similar.

Otterbox. We use them at work (construction and countryside management). My Lifeproof case wasn’t! It fell apart gradually over about 9 months.

Lifeproof do iPhone 7 too. I should really work for them. Or at least get some shares.

You HAVE to test them in water before you put the phone in.

Yes, you are quite right, of course. I was thinking more being able to twist it around the wrist while filming, rather than just dangling.
