Any Grand C Max owners on here? I've seen a titanium 1.5 diesel for sale which we're thinking of buying so was just looking for some feedback Smile thanks!

Yep. What do you want to know?

Yes. Love it!!

Thanks for replying! Are you happy with it? How well does it fit 3 car seats? Can car seats go on the back two seats? Any general sort of pros & cons to the car?

Yes - very happy with it. Can get 3 car seats across the back (not with isofix). Sliding rear doors are an absolute godsend in car parks/ doing seat belts up on the road. Plenty of room in the boot when the rear seats are folded up. Doesn't feel like a massive people carrier to drive.

My only negatives are tiny boot space when the boot seats are in use (but I don't think that is unusual in 7 seaters) and we have the 1.6 petrol which is a bit underpowered for the size of the car.

We've had no issues with it at all though, and I'd definitely get another one (but maybe with a bigger engine).

That's great... very helpful! I really like the Smax but it seems to be significantly more expensive. Looking to spend around £15,000 and can pick up a nearly new cmax for that Smile

We've have an Smax as well and if you are looking at 3 car seats, the S max is the one to go for. Take the seats along to try, but the middle seat in the Cmax is not full size and we couldn't get a child on that seat with two boosters either side. There wasn't the room.

The pop up seats in the back of the Cmax are titchy and leave no boot. At least in the Smax you can get an adult in the rear row and there's room in the boot for a pushchair. You'd struggle in the C max.

We have that exact car. It’s huge, you can fit anything in it and still have room for more under the seats ( 120 bottles of wine and two weeks holiday luggage, for example). Or a fully inflated whale and lilo shaped like a bag of chips. The sliding doors are a godsend with little ones ( no bumping parked cars). The spare seats are comfy and the boot and cabin feel high and spacious when driving. On the downside, it’s a bit sluggish and really not cool. Ours is black. When the back shelf is off it really does feel like driving a hearse. But today I brought back three kids, and still had space to pick up my daughter’s new bike. I think as they get older, I’ll opt for a nippy SUV, but for a younger family, it’s perfect.

How about a fiat doblo or something like that.
Massive boot, can be 7 seater. And still have a good boot.
Can fit car seats across the permanent back seats.

If all seats are folded you can fit bikes in etc and furniture.

Defrack · 17/09/2018 20:16

Ooh and sliding doors. And fairly cheap.

Fiat doblo is the cheapest style though, you can get a VW version, a citreon version and something else Grin

We've had 4 SMAX Titaniums and they are fab, I would not rule out getting one V a C Max. Take the car seats and try both, the SMAX is definitely roomier, even with rear 2 seats up.
