I've charity shopped something DH has put on ebay - what can I do?

Whilst decluttering I made 2 piles: one for charity shop, one for DH to put on ebay. Due to miscommunication, I've just realised DH has put an item on that I l took to charity shop last week (he and I don't talk much!). There's some busy bidding on it and it ends soon - is there anything I can do?

I've rung the charity shop and the item was snapped up as soon as it hit the shop floor.

There's nothing I can do, is there?

Ebay monitor/ store browser details & IP address. If you bid from a second account you very likely will get caught and have both accounts and possibly you suspended from Ebay indefinitely. Google this!

If you do it on 4G it's nigh on impossible for companies to see that it's coming from the same household - I know because I once worked for a company similar to mumsnet and finding connected troll accounts was impossible if they were on mobile Internet.

I couldn't work out how to cancel bids on my phone so ended the auction and it came up as "sold" I messaged the buyer and offered her another piece of tat something else for free and she was happy with that.

BOOP - it was a children's toy and if I'd known how much people were prepared to pay for it, it would never have made its way to the charity shop Grin

I'm wondering how the husband managed to put it on ebay without taking a photo of it first

Confused He took a photo last weekend and uploaded it onto ebay. Not knowing he'd done this I merrily tootled off to the charity shop with it.

Anyway, thank you for helpful replies. Think I'm done with ebay!
