If so, are they available on the NHS?

No you don't. We've been to Turkey a few times, never needed vaccinations.

BarbraDear · 14/09/2018 21:54

We needed them when we went a few years ago.

BarbraDear · 14/09/2018 21:54

And yes, they were through the NHS.

No, you definitely don’t need any vaccinations.

And i don’t think travel vaccinations are available on the nhs....

Just checked that site, it was definitely the tetanus ones we had and they were definitely available on the NHS but we are in Northern Ireland so could be a little different if you are in England etc.

thenightsky · 14/09/2018 22:53

Been twice and never needed them.

IcaMorgan · 14/09/2018 23:14

The first time I went my GP made me have a diphtheria one and 2 others

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 15/09/2018 03:37

My GP surgery recommended tetanus and Hep A. Both of those are free on the NHS.

Loopylou6 · 15/09/2018 13:17

Thank you, I'll call my gp Monday

www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/destinations/europe-russia/turkey it's often the practice nurse that deals with travel vaccines. Some are available on nhs and some aren't
