Parking oneself in a parking space without a car?!

Lighthearted. This had me giggling for quite some time so thought I'd share as it's a new one to me. Was in the car with husband who indicated to go into the last parking space in a very busy small car park with a queue to gain entry. Lady runs over, stands in the middle of the space in a jumping jack type shape. Legs splayed wide and arms 90 degrees from her body. He opened the window & asked her to move because he was trying to park & she said she was reserving the space for her partner. We had to wait for a space so watched this woman stood in a ridiculous pose in this space for almost 5 minutes until her partner materialised.

So if anyone doesn't drive & feels left out of the AIBU's about parking disputes, you can still get involved by parking oneself in a space it seems!Grin

@Angie Exactly, we definitely need a diagram for this one.

I've wanted to do this so many times but do recognise how cheeky it is :)

A woman did this with me. I drove slowly toward her and edged in until she stormed away telling her partner I tried to knock her over. Just got my kids from the car and politely ignored. I laughed all day

I would have driven slowly into the space, too. Stupid cow.

I did this once! It was my mum's work car park and someone from somewhere else kept parking there (it was free and not time limited whereas the others in town weren't). It wasn't free for all parking but some people had gotten wise to the fact that management couldn't be bothered to deal with it.

Dozy mare kept driving into the space so I just got my phone out to record. She drove off whinging and didn't try it again.

I've done this before in Bicester village, when it was mentally busy BUT only because we were indicating into a space and waiting for the car to pull out when a CF in a Chelsea tractor was driving around looking for a space, saw us waiting and tried to edge her way forwards so she could steal the car from under us. I made my OH jump out and stand in the spot. Only because the other person was so arrogant and entitled that she thought it was okay to steal the spot from under us

*steal the space obviously. Stealing cars would be a whole other level CF-ery
