Sister isn't coping with my niece what should I do?

So my niece is four and just started school a couple of weeks ago. My sister suffers from very bad PND and there have been times when I have had to look after my niece. For example when she was two I looked after her for eight months because my sister had a breakdown.
This weekend she has found out she is pregnant again. I think this may tip her over the edge.
It was an awful time when she had a breakdown before and I really think she is heading that way again.

I already have my niece three days a week but I'm six months pregnant so I'm worried that I might not be able to do as much.

She is married to my nieces dad but he doesn't cope well when my sister gets ill hence why I looked after my niece before.
I'm really worried but I don't know what to do.

Has anyone been in a similar situation. What should I do??

I haven't been in this position but I have had too much expected of me by relatives who don't/can't provide the support their children need. In your position I would broach the subject now and tell them that they need to plan for the possibly that the same thing will happen again. Point out that your priority will be your own two children and you will not be able to help this time round. Start by cutting your days to 2, and give dates for dropping to one and stopping.

OP did you have another thread a week or two ago about bedrooms for the kids?

It sounds like your DS is very reliant on you, which isn't healthy long-term for any of you. You sound kind and clearly love them but your DS needs to learn to cope

I am speaking from experience I have a sister who couldn’t cope and relied on my Mum and myself. It was very difficult for me to deal with as my children were young and it resulted in depression for me. I have now distanced myself. You may be stronger than me but I really regret on not insisting that my own family came first every time.

@NewUserNameTime
Yes that post was me.
Last time my sister was ill social services made it clear it was with us or in care. Confused so I don't really have a choice.
