Quick one as I'm at work Smile

DS 13 doesn't have a school jumper for the winter, I said he has to have one. He said if I buy him one he won't wear it. I say keep it in your bag so it's there if you need it, he said no I don't want one and I'm not wearing one.

Do I get him a jumper or not? He's refusing long sleeved shirts too so we are talking a short sleeved shirt, his blazer and a winter coat when it gets colder. It's just going to go unworn but I feel shitty about him not having one!

DCs school just has jumpers and so they do wear them. DS never wears a coat. DD does.

If your DS wears a blazer then I’m sure he’ll be fine Grin

He won’t wear it. Pick your battles.

My DD doesnt wear the school cardigan I paid £20 for... even in the snow she was going to school in just a short sleeve shirt and her blazer. She said she didn't feel cold and was fine.

Eldest DD had vest, shirt, cardigan, blazer and coat!

Save your money, I bought DS 2 jumpers last winter and both are unworn, I wont be doing that again! he is 13

I've never bought mine the jumper for secondary. They said hardly anyone wears it. I've certainly only ever seen a handful of kids wearing it.

They also wear a short sleeved shirt, blazer and a coat in winter. Never complained about being cold.

I really wouldn't bother with the jumper.
