How do you food shop?
Weekly/ monthly/daily or when you run out of food?
I watched eat well for less and there was family who spent almost £160 quid and they had over a thousand pound worth of food in their kitchen already.
I tend to do a medium sized shop weekly £50-60 and top up milk/bread/fruit etc a couple of times a week
Family of 5

I do one weekly shop a week for about £80 and I plan all my meals in advance. I find I spend far too much if I do daily shops as i’ll buy extras on the spur of the moment

I get someone else to do it. Then I buy special treats like lobsters, Prosecco, Galaxy bars and Dreamies when I pass by a suitable retail outlet.

I have been carefuk recently about my food shopping : i do two on line shops (usually around 90-140€) which def. saves me more cash as I add into my basket exactly what i need and also meal plan for the 2-3 weeks avery month when i have my DDs (shared parenting 50/50).

The weeks i dont have my DDs its a bit more rough n' ready in my fridge but i usually do a smaller shop and of course the pit stops for fresh stuff in between : these probably come to about 2/3 x 40€ per month.

I do probably two or three shops a week and spend probably in the region of £130 total 😬

Once a month for the butcher
Once a month for staples
Twice a week for fruit and veg but depends on what's in the garden

I am deluded. I added up aug receipts and i spent almost £700!
Although being school holidays there were more meals/snacks/treats
Got to seriously reign it in and start meal planning again

Meal plan, weekly shop plus things that I’ve batch cooked in the freezer. I’ve always got pasta & some store cupboard stuff to fill in the gaps.

For one adult and one 10yo I spend about £35 a week, plus whatever is in the garden.

Currently enough tomatoes, apples and French beans to feed the village Grin

I meal plan and do a weekly online shop, usually £60-80. Dh buys top-ups, probably an extra £20 a week. Family of 4.

stegosauruslady · 10/09/2018 12:28

60-80 a week here for a once a week proper shop, another 10-15 on tops ups through the week. There are five of us (four of us have packed lunches), I'm a SAHM and I meal plan us to death

If DP comes shopping, it goes up to about 100!
