That's about it really! I've got a lamb stew in the oven, DH loves my usual recipe but every time I've cooked recently I've had youtube cooking videos on in the background trying to find different variants of my usual recipes. Can I have your go-to stew / casserole recipes please, different meat suggestions if poss, oh and can someone explain the difference between a stew and a casserole for me Grin ta!

We had chicken pot pie with dumplings tonight:

It was really good, BUT the biscuits did not cook all the way through despite and extra 5 minutes so next time I would bake the biscuits on a tray at the same time as the rest of the casserole and then pop them on top when done.

My go to is carbonnade. A Flemish caramelised onion and beer stew. Most recipes are the same so I just Google one.

The hairy bikers goulash is lovely. I've cooked it a few times and just made it tonight with chicken and it was really tasty.

The difference between stew and casserole is...if I say it's stew my kids won't eat it, however if I say it's casserole they will...

This is good one:

A distinction can be made between casseroles and stews: stewing is a cooking process whereby heat is applied to the bottom of the cooking vessel (typically over a fire or on a stove), whereas casserole is generally baked in an oven, where heat circulates all around the cooking vessel.
