Second C-section or natural birth?

Hi, I am looking for other peoples experiences of having a second c section.
I am currently 13 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 (I know, very early to be worrying about the actual birth). With my first, I was induced and ended with an emergency csection. My recovery was amazing. No bother with the stitches or the wound and although I was a little sore, it didn't stop me getting on with my day to day life although I did feel a little disappointed that I hadn't managed a natural birth. I am now starting to think about what type of birth would be best with my second although I know this decision may be taken out of my hands. Just wondering how everyone's recovery was with their second section if they had a quick recovery last time round. My first will be 3years and 4 months by the time baby number 2 is born. Scared that the recovery after a natural birth could actually be worse if I was to tear or be cut!
Thanks for reading! Hopefully someone can offer some advice or at least tell me their experiences!

I had a second c section because at least I knew what I'd be letting myself in for, and, importantly, I didn't want to risk the scar bursting during labour Shock I was more relaxed knowing what would happen.
I found my recovery easier the second time around. No regrets.
Good luck whatever you choose.

Why did you have to have a section? If it was due to failing to dilate I think the chance of you having a successful vbac is about 30%. So on that I'd go for a second section.

I had a section for failure to progress with induction. Went for an elective section with DD2- I had thought about a VBAC but she looked like she was going to be a big baby (9lb in the end) so I figured chances of success were low.

Had a lovely section and recovery. Less knackered than first time round when baby arrived too!

second section. no doubt about it.

I had emergency, then had to have elective due to DS1 size, then had to have elective for numbers 3 & 4.

I would go natural if possible as you may not get a choice in future.

I had an elective first time (breech) and haemorrhaged during the OP.

Next one I went VBAC but ended up with a crash section. That was a much easier recovery. After that I was told that it would be c-sections all the way. At least with a section you know pretty much what the recovery will be lime and you can prepare (big pants, peppermint tea)

I had a vbac after an elective c section. I recovered really well from the c section, hardly needed pain killers and got on with what I wanted to do no problem.

I had a 3a tear with the vbac, after a 4 hour labour. It was loads more painful than the c section intially but I moved about much more easily after a couple of days. I needed to take pain killers regularly when I didn't need them post section. Dd was 3yrs 3 mths at the time and it was good to cuddle her with out having the worry about a c section wound.

I had an instrumental vaginal birth first time and an elective c section second time due to breech.

C section was a slower recovery but less painful and fewer ongoing issues.

I'm really not sure which I'd choose for a third.
