Sorry but another Potter thread - What character(s) do you find the most 3 dimensional?

As in, are the most relatable/realistic?

I always liked Fred and George because they are indeed like lots of young boys/men. I felt like they could be put into the real world (magic withstanding) and pass.

What character(s) do you find the most realistic?

I also feel Mr Weasley is realistic too. A man who tries his best but never seems to cut a break, but still stays in good humour.

@Mhw02 That was utterly brilliant! Yeah, I ignore CC too!

I like to think Andromeda and Narcissa got back in touch after the war, Draco becomes an adoring cousin to little Teddy, and Narcissa adores her great nephew too.

TheBeatGoesOnandOn · 10/09/2018 20:08

I love how Draco is actually nicer thanHarry in CC though.

I do feel that Narcissa would've reached out to Andromeda. At first in typical Malloy way of 'You've lost your husband and daughter and are getting old. Let me pay for a house elf and nanny for the boy' but actually they find that they do get along and although aren't close in the hugging kind, they are what each other has left.

Me too, I like to think Narcissa would have reached out to Andromeda, and that Andromeda would have accepted it in time (whilst taking every possible opportunity to be snide to Lucius!) and become a bit of a mentor figure to Draco.

It would be nice to think Narcssia reached out but I don't see it! She was flawed and influenced by those around her! Her love for Draco was her redeeming moment but I don't see her extending that to Andromeda and I don't see Andromeda accepting when it was people with beliefs like Narcssia and her husband that led to her loosing her husband and daughter. I like to think Andromeda instead had support from the order Molly and alike to help her through that sits better with me but also the beauty of what we don't know and what we can all read into the story.

MinotaurWildThing · 11/09/2018 01:48

Benjamin Bunny, surely...

Mhw02 · 11/09/2018 08:08

Itswinetime I would agree with you that it's probably unrealistic, but I still like to think it happened! I like to think that Narcissa's experiences during the war changed her; that she came to realise her priorities were wrong. I don't mean that she turned into a wonderful, kind caring and compassionate individual, but that became more considered in her attitudes. Doubt Mucous would have changed much though!

As for Andromeda, I think she would have resisted a reconciliation, but ultimately would have given her sister a chance. I never saw her and Molly as natural allies; I think they're too different, and would probably tolerate each other for Harry and Teddy's sake, but wouldn't have enough in common to be able to provide genuine support to each other. I can imagine Andromeda and Kingsley or McGonagall as getting on well, though I imagine she would have got most of her support from Ted's family.

Mhw02 · 11/09/2018 08:08

Mucous? Lucius! Blasted auto correct!

SapphireSeptember · 11/09/2018 08:12

If I had Lucius Malfoy for a brother in law I'd dye his hair in yellow and black stripes... 😈In the Muggle way, because that would be harder to fix.

Benjamin Bunny, surely... Grin

Agree with OP, Draco was a far better dad to Scorpius than Harry was to Albus in CC. Harry couldn't seem to get his head around his kids having different personalities. Hmm
