...and my French isn't great.

Does anyone want to help translate/interpret?

We have...

Moutarde
1 Gernes dessert
1 activia nature
1 compote abricots
Petits pains lu (lu is underlined)
Biscottes choco (Choco is underlined)
3 jus orange

Then in brackets

(Essul tout qui se sêpone en/deux)

Glacé

Museaux
Saucisson ail
2 bisstecks
Something that looks like 4th rôti
3t jambon (nice ham!)
Pâté

It was found in a Carrefour - not sure where that stands on the Aldi-Waitrose continuum.

Well moutarde is mustard, don’t know Gernes pudding, plain Activia yoghurt.

Lu is a brand name, choccy bisciuts and orange juice are obvious.

Ensuite tout are like j cloths, and I think it’s se sépare, ie tears in half.

Museau is like brawn, garlic sausage (yum) and the other bits are the same. Rôti is roast.

I quite like Carrefour, but prefer Casino. They do have Lidl in France too.

*essui tout

Chipotlejars · 09/09/2018 11:19

Essuie tout is kitchen roll!

Museaux (I think) literally is muzzle isn't it? So something like a pig's snout possibly?

I thought brawn was tete? But could be wrong!

Chipotlejars · 09/09/2018 11:23

A surprising lack of legumes in that list! Perhaps the writer visits

Chipotlejars · 09/09/2018 11:29

Oops

Perhaps the writer visits a different market for those?

MawkishTwaddle · 09/09/2018 13:12

I thought it looked a bit meat and carb heavy, but where we were has daily markets, so they probably get fruits and legumes there.

Interesting about the j-cloths!
