I have bought a ready make pizza base mix some garlic butter and coriander

Now do I make the mix Bake it and then put the garlic butter and coriander on the finished bread thing or do I put the garlic butter and fresh coriander onto the raw dough and then bake I'm stuck.

They'll be a very enthusiastic 3 year old making a mess alongside me help me

I'd put the corriander......in the bin. Soapy horrible stuff.

Yes parsley not coriander! I’d probably put some garlic in the dough and then slather in garlic butter half way through but I’m not a great cook so feel free to ignore!

Lunaballoon · 08/09/2018 12:22

I would make the pizza base and cook until it’s almost done, then put the garlic butter on top and finish off in the oven.

I usually make garlic bread with actual bread though, by mixing butter, garlic, chopped parsley and smearing on partly sliced French bread (so it’s still intact IYSWIM), then baking in loosely wrapped foil.

Soapy horrible stuff.
Some people like it, some don't. (It's genetic.)

Have you got some grated parmesan or similar? You can make a tear and share loss of with raw dough put into small balls, coated in melted garlic butter mixed with a bit of grated parmesan, and then all tipped into a cake tin..... is that too complucated fir part way through a cooking session with a small assistant?

AdaColeman · 08/09/2018 12:29

Stab the dough a bit with a fork, spread on the butter & garlic, throw away the corriander.
I find it easier to make it with a French baguette.

I love coriander but you need parsley for garlic bread; not coriander - it won't "go"

MrsMotherHen · 08/09/2018 12:36

oh shite I thought it was corridaner for garlic bread .....

Of course it will "go". Have you never had a garlic and coriander naan bread?

Winkybum · 08/09/2018 14:49

Yep, I read about the genetic thing. When I first ate salad that goes with an Indian take away, I thought they had washed it all with Fairy liquid Envy. Then when I triedbit again from a different take away I researched a bit and found out about the soapy thing being genetic.
