What do you take for after school snacks?

Not a thread about whether they have snacks. I am v happy for my kids to have as much as they need after school - they still eat a full dinner. But one week in I am running out of inspiration already!

I take cheese strings, yoghurts, mini bags of biscuits. I took a tub of pasta one day and sandwiches the next. Twice a week we go to shop for a treat too but this is extra - they still need something to deal with the hunger. I always have apples or satsumas too. They refuse tortilla or quiche. Anything else?

For us it depends what time we are likely to eat. If we are going to be eating dinner together at 5-5.30, DS has a banana and a biscuit after school to keep him going til tea time. If we aren't going to be eating til later ie 6.3o I would take half a sandwich, baby bel and apple or raisins.

I take fruit, which is usually eaten first, and then give crackers or biscuits.

What Apollo said, where are you taking them?

Take to school for pick up. We nearly always then spend an hour in the park on the way home

DD 4.5 has only done 1 week so far but I’ve been taking carrot, pepper and cucumber sticks, a few mini crackers and a piece of fruit.
She doesn’t eat dairy or eggs so it’s hard to vary but I’m going to add in a couple of cocktail sausages or homemade sausage rolls now and then
I’ve noticed a lot of parents take chocolate or biscuits but I don’t want to get into that habit so if anyone has any other ideas that would be great
