Wind problem

Help.

I'm getting really self-conscious. I am often very windy. I have a really good diet but no matter what I eat I always have wind. And it's mostly really smelly. I cannot and have never been able to hold much in. I know people do but most of the time I physically can't. Having had children presumably hasn't helped although I can remember being like it at school too.

What can I do to help? Is there a supplement I can take? It's never noisy, just frequent and smelly. :( Anyone else with this problem?

Rennie’s Defladine is supposed to relieve trapped wind discreetly, according to the packet!

Maybe a charcoal based supplement, you can Google this on any natural health care site.

Or actually, how about trying a good probiotic supplement?
I’ve heard good things about OptiBac, although I’ve never tried them myself.

That's a good idea about probiotics and charcoal. It's not trapped wind, I wish it was haha. But they could help perhaps anyway. Might do s multi buy of all of the above. People are noticing. :(

You can also get special pants that neutralise any smell. They're often recommended for people post gastric surgery when this is quite common

Here is one of the sites

I get this when I eat certain vegetables. Onions and butternut squash are the worst followed by broccoli and kale. Cut out all veg for a couple of days and re-introduce one by one and see what causes issues. Also look up low FODMAP diet as this cuts out common culprits.

Was also coming on to suggest low fodmap!
