Toys for airplane

Travelling on holidays, 3 hour flight with a 2 year old. I've been advised to have a new toy to unwrap for every 15 min or so to keep her attention.

Does anyone have any recommendations for cheap interesting toys? TIA

Poundshop.... Crayons, stickers, cars, doll, etc.

iPad with over the ear headphones.

Also raisins are fabulous at providing a time consuming snack.

I've ordered a goody bag for DS2 for our next flight. Not using it until later this month but looks amazing. Last time we flew I made my own and don't think there was much in it cost wise once I'd finished. It comes in a little bag. The presents aren't wrapped but I intend to use it like a lucky dip at strategic/ challenging times !

Inexpensive items from the dollar store, assume the little trinkets will be lost between seats or roll away; toy car, window sticker, tiny tub of play dough.

I did this, but one present per hour.
The most successful were one of those biro type pens with all different colours you can click into place and a little notebook.
I also got a toy watch that has a little torch thing that shines pictures onto nearby surfaces. That was fab as he could shine it in the footwell or on the wall and he thought it was amazing - it was nowhere near strong enough to reach the next seat or bother anyone else.
The works or £ shop are the best places to look.

We just survived a 3 hour flight with an hours delay on the ground on the plane with mainly sticker books, some books to read to him and water colouring books that he hadn’t seen before. Plus snacks, all sorts of snacks!

Special airport treat used to be an (overpriced) magazine. They usually have some plastic tat toy to play with. You can also read the cartoons together. And if you take a small pack of crayons, there is usually a colouring page (or more likely scribbling on page at age 2).
