Where do you buy your nice toddler clothes from?

Dd is 2 and starts play School next week. She currently wears dresses and tights from Boden and jojo maman Bebe. She’s only ever worn dresses and doesn’t own leggings/trousers. But I’m guessing they will be better for play School?

Where do you buy them from? What sort of things do you put on them?

I know this sounds ridiculous 🙈 she’s my last baby and Iv enjoyed dressing her up 😂🙈

Cheap and cheerful for nursery! Also things that are quick for the staff to get on/off at nappy change times. Keep nicer clothes for non-nursery days.

So supermarket, Matalan & Primark are all good for this. Also I would suggest canvas shoes/trainers etc rather than nice shoes.

I really rate Morrison’s toddler girls clothes - just be aware however that the sizing is microscopic, so unless your DD is especially petite, size up by at least one and possibly even 2 sizes. The colours are super, and they look much more expensive than they are.

Mine goes in a mixture of sale JoJo dresses and Sainsbury’s for cheaper bits and pieces. She comes back very grubby but hasn’t destroyed anything yet as they apron up for painting and most food or mud stains come out eventually. If you love dressing her in a certain way, it’ll be hard if you don’t pick things you like.

Boots!

Boots do some really lovely tunics and leggings. Mine lives in those and H&M stuff.

Tu and next.

I usually go for dark leggings and a contrasting top.

My girls have always been in comfy stretchy stuff. It's a practical and I cba dealing with dresses.

Supermarkets or ebay for preschool. Nothing too nice! A grubby child is a happy child, and ds is very happy at preschool Grin

My daughter wears leggings and tops for nursery. Over the years I’ve had leggings from jojo, gap and mango. Current t shirts are mango and next but I’ve had jojo before. With a few shorts in the summer (gap/uniqlo/boden) and trackie bottoms for winter (mango/m&s/next). My mum knits so she’s got vast amounts of knitwear for when it’s cold.

Lidl's Lupilu range is honesty excellent. They often do mix and match sets of jersey leggings and tops. DD2 is now wearing DD1s, they wash like a dream, hold their shape, are lovely and soft and are cheap as chips. The jersey dresses have held up better than H&M. Look much more expensive than they are. Their little cardis are great, too.

Zara is more stylish but H&M stuff tends to last longer and is more practical! and its cheaper! lasts longer than primark stuff too so is better value for money.
