Can anyone help me with London knowledge?

Hi, I'm planning to visit London in (Scottish) half term with my family and had planned to book the Covent Garden travel lodge as it's central and we've stayed there before. However, it looks like it's fully booked. Where else would be a good location? We arrive into Euston and just plan to see the main sights. It doesn't have to be a Travel Lodge - anywhere clean, central and fairly budget friendly would be great. Thank you.

Premier Inns are very reasonable in London and there are lots in good locations. We stayed in the County Hall one last Christmas. It's right on the South Bank so lots going on and you can walk to most places. The family room we had was absolutely enormous too which is very unusual for London. I think we paid £120 for 5 of us for 2 nights..

Having been priced out of Premierinn (the last London one I stayed in was over £200 a nightShock) I've had some bargain stays through Universityrooms. Prince's Gardens is a great location and nice accommodation for the price. Worth checking out.

I don't know how expensive it is for your dates/number of people, but there's a Premier Inn on Dorset Rise in Blackfriars that you might like? www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/greater-london/london/london-blackfriars-fleet-street.html
It's a very quiet location in the evenings, so you haven't got lots of stuff literally on the doorstep as you would have in Covent Garden, but you're only a 15 minute walk from Covent Garden, from the South Bank, from St Pauls, and from Tate Modern. Not for you, however, if you want to see people wandering around later at night. The streets in the immediate locality are pretty deserted apart from security guards getting a breath of air outside their offices (there's a lot of banking / accountancy / law offices thereabouts).

I stayed in the Premier Inn in Southwark (Bankside) and it's location is second to none. Not sure about prices though

Thanks so much - I will use this info as a starting point in my research. Much appreciated.

I think there's a Premier near the British Library, very close to Euston. Prices at Premier Inns vary according to demand.

I've also had good experiences with University Rooms, but a lot of their accommodation is vacation only.

I would look at air b&b personally in central London

Premier inn on red lion street (just off Holborn) is close to what you were hoping to book. Good luck.
