Random thought: does being a night owl or morning person affect your chances in life?

I was just scrolling past a FB advert for drama classes in our area. I immediately dismissed them on the basis that DS1 (7yo) becomes a hellbeast after around 4pm, as he rises between 5.30 and 6am every sodding day. We can do nothing to stop this - it appears to be a factory fault.

Anyway, I got to wondering how many other activities/pursuits he won't be taken to as a child because they only run after-school classes. We do do early morning swimming classes on a Saturday, but as he gets older his classes will be later in the day and he'll perform worse (and fall apart quicker) due to this. The aforementioned drama classes are out, and probably after-school music lessons too. And what about academic pursuits? Is there a chance he'll be worse at lessons that happen to be scheduled at the end of the day? Will it impact on his GCSES and A-levels? Will it mess up his whole future life? WILL IT?!

Ahem. Opinions welcomed even if they are that I need to chill the F out

Random guardian articles of successful types always begin with how they get up at 4.45am and have achieved more than your average bear by 8am.

A 'classic' book I read (can't remember which) discussed how each hours' sleep before midnight was worth two hours due to the better quality of sleep.

So anecdotally I think you may be right.

Well it's encouraging to think he might actually be better off! Esp since he has trained his late-sleeper brother to wake up at the same time Angry
