Is The Body Shop at home considered a MLM?

Just wondering really. I have an acquaintance who has started pushing it along with the "having a wonderful life" and "look what I can afford now" quotes.

I think the key thing with MLMs is that you recruit other sellers and get a cut of what they make. If that's how the Bodyshop at Home works, then I would say it is a MLM. I don't think it is though.

It is an MLM because some people do recruit, but in practice many people do it as “just” direct sales.

If your friend is putting all that “fake it til you make it” stuff up then she’s definitely at the recruiting end of the spectrum.

I assume then, that she will get a portion of the earnings from the people she recruits?

Yes, if she’s after building a team them it will be extra commission for her. Well I say extra commission- she hasn’t necessarily earnt any yet after all her expenses. But who wants to put that in a FB status when you’re trying to rope people in...
