I love Bone app the teeth more than anyone will ever know. Whenever I come across it (on Buzzfeed normally..) it just makes my day

POPholditdown · 02/09/2018 00:48

Oh and MY LASAGAA is another one

zeddybrek · 02/09/2018 00:49

My mum once texted me her shopping list which included cocking oil. Hmm

BerriesandLeaves · 02/09/2018 00:49

When we were on holiday, we took part in a pub quiz and had to mark people from other tables' answers to see who had won. Someone wrote "Shomps Elisay" for Champs Elysees'

GlitterGlassEye · 02/09/2018 00:54

Shake of vara instead of Che Guevara was hilarious.

9amTrain · 02/09/2018 00:57

Someone I know posted a status about how their amoon system was low.

I cried a bit.

And the one who posted about her "mothering law".

CheeseAndOnionIceCream · 02/09/2018 01:59

Fluffyears If I hadn't actually seen that picture,I would never have known that that word was meant to be 'strawberries'!

Secretlifeofme · 02/09/2018 02:11

One of my students made a beautiful poster about the background to the First World War, explaining that it had begun with the assassination of Archduck Franz Ferdinand Grin

BearSoFair · 02/09/2018 11:45

I once saw a jewellery stall with a sign 'neck lice £5', not big sellers I imagine Grin

BareBelliedSneetch · 02/09/2018 11:52

I knew a lady on another forum (and this will out me to other members of the same!) who generally thought people just said “wallah!” as a sort of exclamation, rather than it being the French word Voilà!

We haven’t stopped using wallah since Grin

tillytoodles1 · 02/09/2018 11:58

BareBelliedSneetch Did she also have a flyover at her wedding? Should have been a flypast.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 02/09/2018 12:07

A very old one. When my dad retired, he got very interested in local history, and joined a local group. One of the things they did was to transcribe the inventories that were done in medieval times, when a person died, to work out the value of their estate, and how much tax was due.

These had people's professions on them, and one lady was listed as a prawstitoot.

BareBelliedSneetch · 02/09/2018 12:10

@tillytoodles1 she did Grin

CeeCeeAndAida · 02/09/2018 12:10

DunesOfSand · 02/09/2018 12:21

"Wallah" is used in Arabic. It translates to "I swear on God's name".

tillytoodles1 · 02/09/2018 12:22

BareBelliedSneetch* I was on the original forum, that moved to the other forum, then just died eventually. We had a laugh on there (and a few arguments!)

tillytoodles1 · 02/09/2018 12:24

DunesofSand, it was a genuine misunderstanding, she wasn't the brightest spark.

FaithInfinity · 02/09/2018 13:12

Saw someone advertising some clothing: ‘Size 8 but would fit a small town’ Smile

Fluffyears · 02/09/2018 17:57
