Natural history museum on Saturday afternoon

Has anybody been on a Saturday afternoon? This being the last Saturday of the school hols for many not sure if that will make it more or less busy.

DH is looking for somewhere to go with DD and MIL and they’re unlikely to be up and out early.

This is a back up option to an urban farm near us if it’s raining x

I took my dc the natural history museum on an inset day and it was so quiet, we actually got to see the exhibits. We went on a Saturday during the Easter holidays and we were just fighting crowds to move from one place to another. We didn't really see anything so I've vowed never to go during holidays and weekends.

Try the one of the two museums of London near St. Paul's and in Canary Wharf, it'll be more manageable. The Postal museum is another one or the Bank of England museum.

Brooklands is fab and usually much quieter - I'd go for that option

We really enjoyed going on the postal train and there is a kids role play but to the Postal Museum. The museum itself didn’t particularly grab my 3 yo or 7 yo.

We went to both Science Museum and National History Museum on Saturday.
Both were busy but we didn't queue for either.
Science Museum about 11, then went in the side door of NHM about 1.30-2ish.

Science is right next door and always less busy, go there first then natural history

I'd go for the wonderlab at the science museum. It's an interactive area that would be perfect. And it's ticketed so numbers are controlled. It's busy, but less so.
