School trousers for skinny boys

dustiseverywhere · 28/08/2018 15:56

I'm stuck on getting grey school trousers for my skinny DS10. Closest I've managed is M & S age 9 long slim cut...I get the smaller waist with the right length BUT they're adjustable and they're pulled right in on both sides to the extent that the material at the back of the trousers is completely puckered up ; it looks and feels strange.

Does anyone have any recommended adjustable waist grey school trousers please that are suitable for a skinny boy - so many of them are cut for larger waist sizes and I'm really struggling this year!

Thanks for all suggestions Smile

Sorry was going to suggest M and S as they do the super skinny type (I have a with teen).

Marks and be Spencer do Skinny fit

Try them instead

I get DS's from Sainsbury's, the slim fit ones. But they do need pulling right in as well, basically turns them into elasticated waists. But they seem ok by the time you have a shirt on etc. It is annoying that all waists are desgined for larger children. Some children are still slim.

M&S extra long (they do long and extra long in bkack anyway) is tge best we have found. actually, moving somewhere where the temperature allows for shorts 10 months of the year sorted most of my problems 9 year old in age 6 shorts here

We swear by Next Jean cut slim fit trousers. DS is just about to start his ninth school year of the same style so we can definitely recommend them Grin

DS2 is tall and slim, I get his school trousers at ASDA.

marks skinny fit but I think they're only on the website. my DC looks ridiculous in anything else as he's like a bean pole.

redsummershoes · 28/08/2018 16:14

weirdly the m&s regular fit (2for15£) fit skinny dc best.

the others looked like he was wearing nappies or as if he escaped the clown performance at the circus...

DS has M&S skinny fit. I go down a size or two then get extra long. It helps reduce the waist but the leg is still long enough.

Thanks for these suggestions , I have made some online orders with fingers crossed!

Next Slim Fit

Disfordarkchocolate · 28/08/2018 21:57

We got ours at M&S, went down a year so the waist fitted. Then got super slim fit and extra long length. Best fit we've had in years.

I Get the m and s adjustable ones for my 9 year old, they are totally puckered by the time I’ve pulled them in but it doesn’t seem to bother him!
