How clean to leave self catering apartment

We are in a self catering apartment abroad. It has absolutely no cleaning stuff provided other than a sweeping brush.
We had to buy cleaning wipes, bleach, washing powder (for the provided machine) washing up sponges washing up liquid all of which we will leave obviously. DH says sweep the floor cos that's all we can do with what they have provided.I think clean properly cos I wouldn't like to leave it in a state.

Just make sure the dishes are clean, sweep and give the surfaces a quick wipe.

Which country? In France, they have a culture of expecting a good standard, and you buy most of your own products, but a mop would be provided if you were expected to mop the floor. With what you've got, I would just sweep, clean the sides, bleach the loo and wipe out the fridge.

I own a self catering property. It will be thoroughly cleaned after you leave. It's in the cost.

Just chuck the rubbish and empty fridge and (maybe) strip beds. Anything else is a waste of your time!

We are in Spain We'd obviously clean out the fridge. Leave the place tidy and throw away opened food.
I suppose the cleaner may be taking stuff away after each tenant but she's got 4 washing up sponges most of a bottle of washing up liquid and most of a box of washing powder.May be a perk of the job.

Mine is in Spain, seriously STOP!
She will indeed take it all! But you wouldn't have been expected to do anything apart from rubbish. (and I have had people that don't do that!)

Apart from doing the washing up, cleaning up spills and getting rid of rubbish, I wouldn't clean anything.

A cleaner will come in between tenants and clean the kitchen, bathrooms, floors etc and change the towels and bedding, so there's no point doing anything with any of those things. It's not going to be particularly dirty in a week and the cleaner is going to have to do it all anyway, so you're not saving them a job.

I'd leave washing up materials, washing powder and unopened food and expect it to be used by the next tenants or the cleaner takes it.

Thanks. Will just do the basics then.
Was told in previous rental not to strip the beds so cleaner can see any stains on sheets.
