Would you prefer to go on holiday and stay in a luxury hotel for one week or two weeks in a more standard hotel

The more standard hotel would still have air con fridge pool etc

Think of it as more of a five star or three star break

A week in a nicer hotel for me.

I find going abroad with children really stressful, so would prefer to go for two weeks (or 10 days preferably) so it was worth all the effort and stress of getting there. Always feel like you lose two days due to travelling so a week's break you only get 5 clear days.

Plus if you're out most of the time then it won't matter if the accommodation isn't amazing (I've stayed in some really lovely 3 stars).

If it was an adult only break I'd go for luxury every time.

Good luck!

1 week luxury

2 week starts is far too long for or a holiday for me. I get twitchy and grumpy and homesick!

2 weeks. I like to feel like I've been away for a while and explore the area without feeling rushed.

1 week Luxury only without kids.

It would entirely depend on what kind of holiday it is. If the hotel is just a base and you're going to be out and about most of the day then 3* is perfectly fine as you just want somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep, shower, change, maybe eat breakfast. Save the money for sightseeing, shopping and eating out.

If the majority of your time will be spent in the hotel or grounds then I suppose luxury though to be honest I'd find spending a week mostly in a hotel and its grounds a bit too long as I'd get bored.
