Does anyone actually enjoy ‘traditional’ hen dos?

Just that really. I went on Facebook and one of my acquaintances from a previous job had posted photos of her hen do.

Honestly, it looked like my idea of a terrible time. They all had matching outfits, penis headbands and giant inflatable penises.

I appreciate everyone enjoys different things and I am in no way judging anyone who had such a night out before they married. I’m just trying to understand what is fun about walking around in public with a penis on your head!

Perhaps I need to lighten up and embrace the giant inflatable penis joy!

Controversially, I really love hen dos involving weekends away because I love an excuse to escape the house and have a good piss up for a few days

A one night tack-fest is great, it's the week/weekend long homage to the fabulousness of bridezilla that I can't stand! No, your wedding is not special enough for me to spend two grand on a hen do (particularly when I'm expected to cover part of the brides cost as well)

I also love a weekend hen do, mainly because with 2 pre schoolers at home I don’t get much chance to get away! My friends are all considerate and sensible though, so we do them as cheaply as possible and basically just have a good time catching up and enjoying ourselves. Don’t think I’d be friends with anyone who thought it reasonable to demand people pay 2k for a hen do abroad (luckily I don’t know anyone like that).

I loved my tacky penis filled hen party penis straws, chocolates, jellies and an inflatable man with a penis straw glued (with nail glue) to his nether regions. Was absolutely fab.

I was 23, we went to Dublin, had a few casual drinks in a bar near the temple bar area during the day, stayed in the harcourt hotel, had a three course meal, went to their nightclub then rickshawed our way across the city to various clubs and came back and partied in copper faced jacks. Best hen party ever, the bus back home the next day was horrific

Also went to a hen party in Newcastle upon Tyne last year that involved penises and the dream boys 😍 brilliant night
