Is this guitar amp worth getting this fixed?

A very boring thread. Sorry!
My ex bought my DD this guitar amp off a mate as “Apparently it’s a really good one.” Well it might be if it bloody well worked. It is also huge and I’m on the verge of chucking it out as I can’t find anyone to fix it!!
Is it a good one worth the effort ? I’m in the East Midlands, does anyone know somewhere I can get it looked at?

That's a pretty decent amp - £250-300 new and probably worth about £150 secondhand (if working). If you're playing that in the bedroom you'd probably never want to turn up the volume more than about 3! It's easy powerful enough for any small to medium venue.

It's difficult to say if it's worth fixing without having a close look. Does it come on at all? Does it come on then cut out after a while? Is it buzzing?

Maybe try here

Resident guitar expert DS1 says yes, definitely worth getting it looked at, a replacement of the same amp will be around £280. Especially worthwhile if she already gigs or has plans to, like Alec said it'll be fine for small venues. We're London though so no idea of anywhere near you to get it looked at!

I’ve put the power in and it is definitely humming. Was really worried how loud it might be as I have been warned before! Tried the lead to DDs guitar and and that is where it seems the problem is. I know the lead and guitar are working!
Thanks for the suggestion Alec, I will follow that lead up.
