Gluten free treats?

Babbaganoush · 26/08/2018 05:25

I want to make a hamper as a present for a friend who is gluten free. She often complains about the lack of nice gluten free treats so I was hoping for some recommendations from anyone in the know as I am clueless!

Preferably things I can buy rather than recipes as I have a 5 week old baby so baking/cooking will be tricky.

Thanks!

Lazy Days Millionaire's Shortbread/Tiffin/Rocky Road (Sainsburys)
Genius Blueberry Muffins (Tesco)
Mr Kipling Free From cherry Bakewell or brownie slices (Tesco)

Nakd bars or nibbles

Sainsburys triple chocolate cookies
Marks and Spencers gluten free lemon cake
Schars cream crackers for cheese and biscuit

Sorry ricekrispie but as a family we found the kelkin Jaffa cakes unpleasant. Things only pass the test here if the non coeliacs voluntarily eat them as a treat too.

ChipmunksAreMissing · 26/08/2018 07:20

Honey buns are lovely!

FaithEverPresent · 26/08/2018 07:23

I had an M&S chocolate cake with cherry jam which was divine! Tesco do jam tarts, cherry bakewells, angel slices.
Schar food is nice, for savoury, I really like their pretzels and brioche. Genius do mini pancakes which are delicious.

If I were you I'd avoid chocolate brownies; it's often all I can find as a coeliac in cafes etc. Nice to have something different!
