Is a scotch egg or quiche old fashioned food?

Watching Celebrity Masterchef, a young man on there had eaten quiche once as a child but had never eaten a scotch egg.

Are these old fashioned dishes now? Out of favour?

Something about quiche can trigger my IBS but I love a scotch egg! Probably pick up a pack every fortnight or so.

My posh local butchers does amazing scotch eggs. DD (4) begs us to buy one every time we pass it!

Too old fashioned. Really? I don't care. I love both. Don't make them anymore though. Too faffy (spelling?).

Love scotch eggs and quiche!

I started making quiche when DS1 started on solids. I don't care if it's old fashioned, it's the answer to everything. It's great for BLW, great for food on the move. Need a make ahead meal...? Quiche! Need a freezer meal....? Something to jazz up a picnic...? Something to use up that cheese /bacon/veg that's turning gross in the fridge....? QUICHE!

Old fashioned or classics? I still make Scotch eggs, quiches and even bacon and egg pies as my family love them.

My dds would live on quiche given the chance and we all love a scotch egg. I don't give a monkey's chuff if they're fashionable or not! They're yummy.

I don't think they're old fashioned, I'd say classic summer picnic staples.

Scotch egg, traditional, quiche relative new to the UK, but old as the hills in France.

Unless they have grown up in a very different food culture, someone who has never eaten a scotch egg or who has no awareness of what that is has no business being on Masterchef.

Love both and always eaten them. Never been out of fashion with me.

Scotch eggs are lovely and I made a courgette and tomato quiche last week.
I don't care if they're out of fashion.

Old fashioned but lovely. I made my first ever homemade scotch eggs recently and they were a revelation - so good!

Quiche will never go out of fashion while vegetarians need feeding.
