I have the rage because my lunch has been thrown away

I’m not sure this level of rage is quite warranted Hmm

I made a delicious dinner last night and was so looking forward to it for lunch today (like woke up thinking about it looking forward to it)

And it’s been thrown away

“I didn’t know what it was”

Well why fucking throw it away then

I may have cried...Hmm

A small slap would be appreciated!

One Year, bought a lovely M&S cheeseboard as we had friends coming for supper on Boxing Day. We had three German Shepherds - one retired police dog, one working police dog and a GS bitch we had rescued. Both boys very well trained, girl, not so much. Left cheeseboard and other food on side in kitchen while DH and friend went to off-licence. Heard a crash from the kitchen and in the three seconds it took me to get in there the fucking bitch had eaten all seven varieties of cheese and had her snout in the butter. Returning DH and friend heard my screams of rage from up the road. Meanwhile the two police dogs ran upstairs to get out of my way. 😂

Ladydick - that's the sort of thing my mother would have done as well.

Every single time she cooked beef it ended up 1/3 the size of its raw state. Gravy was very popular in our house, to rehydrate the ropes of what had once been meat.
Worked better with lamb, I have to say - the fat saved it, I guess - but you can just imagine what that style of cooking would do to a Christmas turkey as well! (breast = dust).

I was amazed when I started cooking myself that a roast dinner didn't take 3 hours to cook!

I nearly left him....

I assume you murdered him instead? Justifiable homicide - no jury would convict.

That was my Horrible Nana, too - if you could chew it, it must still be raw. She cremated stuff until it was just shards of razor-sharp animal corpse to lacerate your gums.

I was similarly stunned when I started cooking myself. Mum would put carrots on to boil at about 8am for a Sunday roast!

And Christmas sprouts were started off in late October Sandy - boil those little green f*ckers into submission!

maggienolia · 27/08/2018 16:20

Cooking the sprouts in October?
Disgusting.

They'll be raw when you serve them.
Everyone knows they should be started at Easter.

GreenTulips · 27/08/2018 16:24

Shit missed the sprouts round already .... where Delilah when you need a Christmas countdown?

Just remembered another one. ..
DD2 used to suffer from occasional constipation and as well as the other medicines I kept a bag of sugar free sweets in the cupboard in case we needed a bit of bowel assistance.
Came home from work one evening to an
empty bag . DH had found and eaten the lot.
Amazingly it had no effect on him apart from a few sonorous farts.
