Team RH fitness

Apologies if there’s already threads on this topic, my search facility doesn’t seem to be working!
Is anyone doing this Team RH Fitness programme? I keep seeing references to it on various pages on Facebook, and I’ve messaged for info....lovely friendly message in reply, with a link attached. No hard sell. Yearly subscription is £50, for diet and exercise programmes and advice. I’m a yo-yo Slimming World-er, losing and gaining the same stone and a half, and I’d like a fresh approach I think! Any experiences please?

Hopeful bump....

I used to be a member. The reason I am not now is because I disliked having to use my fitness pal to track calories every day, the flexible diet approach with tracking macros, and I also got fed up with all the drama that Richie seemed to get himself involved with from time to time. They are a great team, but just not my cup of tea.

Thank you for your reply......I’m just so fed up of the yo-yo thing I was wondering if something more structured might suit me, but I can’t imagine I’d stick to the my fitness pal thing either, tbh.....🙈

Another former member here. They definitely get results, but I just found having to weigh and measure everything such a faff.

IjustbelieveinMe · 27/08/2018 09:06

Yes the weighing food, that annoyed me too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/08/2018 09:07

I'm a current member and yes it can be a faff tracking but I don't mind it and you can get used to it.

I also joined 3 months ago but stopped, the counting calories does work but I find the Facebook page really confusing, and there’s very little support. Very clever marketing/business set up as he has done it in a way that if you want support you have to post on the Facebook page so invariably another member answers. I don’t think in the 3 months I had one of my questions answered by team RH, plus I am quite a private slimmer, no one knows my weight etc, on here you have to join a group based on your permitted calories Confused. Workouts are hard to find on the Facebook page as a beginner, it didn’t work for me but I guess if you are happy to be in a big Facebook group and discuss your losses/gains etc and can navigate your way it is possibly a good weight loss tool.... oh and you weigh daily Shock. Agree with PPalso, too much drama for me, especially on instagram. Good luck x

I clicked on this thinking that you were talking about Rebel Fit, but you're not....

I haven't tried RH, but I have just signed up to my first Rebel Fit programme, which is 30 days (there are 60 and 90 day options) of a yoga and nutrition programme. In later months there are other programmes that you can join e.g. running weights, HIIT etc.

It has been recommended to me as a way of 're-setting' my screwed up view of diet and eating - the guy (Liam?) advocates NOT dieting, no calorie counting or tracking etc, and educates you on making informed, healthy choices but with no guilt about whatever you choose - I am basing this on what I've been told, my programme hasn't actually started yet - starts on 1 September.

I think that I will be given daily yoga work outs to do, and nutritional guidance. It was £40 for 30 days, but it gets cheaper if you take longer duration options. Not the cheapest option though, for sure.

Anyway, thought I'd mention it as it might be an alternative that avoids calorie counting etc? I can't personally vouch for it's effectiveness, but I am giving it a go........

My background is that I have previously been on Paleo/Whole 30 (carb restriction diets), that certainly worked for weight loss, but have ended up with a very unhealthy and distorted view of food in my head, and feelings of guilt and failure as a result of not sticking with the programmes long term - and I am back to being heavier than ever.

I was but stopped after 2 months.

The steps every day (or total in a week) of 15,000 and if you can't meet them you're lazy didn't work for me.

Ended up with a foot injury, and obsessing doing steps in front of the tv every night.

Also the weighing every day for many is a total head fuck.

I also realised I don't need an online coach. I know the principles of Caroline deficit. That's as complicated as it needs to be.

I'd advise to go and watch James Smith on instagram / Facebook. No bullshit approach. Is a free 5 day sign up to his academy. Or even don't sign up and just watch his videos. It gives a totally different perspective.

Very much of you've nearly reached your goal then yes spend times on macro tracking. But if you've lots to lose only thing that matters is calorie deficit.

@totallyliterally I agree 15000 steps per day was killing me!!
