Can you take a dog on a first class flight?

This is not a stealth brag, I have a genuine reason for asking. I know I could call the airlines, but I am more likely to get an overall view from here. Please let me know if you have done this and if there were any problems. The dog would be in the cabin with its owner.

Thanks.

you can take a small pet in the cabin for long-haul on some airlines, if it fits in a specific cage/carrier but usually only in Economy because it has to fit under the seat in front of you.

you also cannot take it out of the carrier for the whole journey.

The process for cabin or for in the hold of the airplane is costly and time-consuming as well.

(my friend just took her two cats from Asia to Europe - they were in the hold, but if it had been one cat, she could have taken it in the cabin with her and put it under the seat in front of her in Economy)

Yeah, I know Dilemmacentral. I just thought it was worth a try. I'm trying to help out an elderly lady who wants to travel for a family event but suffers from agoraphobia. She has a dog whom she loves and we thought that if she had the dog with her, it would help.

Small dogs and cats (under 10kg) can travel in the cabin in a carrier on Air Canada flights. They need to be booked on through the airline. It would also depend on them having all the correct travel documents for the animal.

You can take only a service dog or an emotional support dog to the flight. If you have a need to be with your dog. Here is a difference between them emotionalsupport.pet/register-dog-emotional-support-animal/

I think it depends on where you are flying between and the size of the dog. Different airlines also have different regulations. Phone and ask them.

It must because a friend of mine took a cat with them in the cabin (Economy).

You can travel along with your Assistance animal on an airline. But before traveling you need an Emotional Support Animal Letter by a licensed medical professional.

Very useful content provided by you. Many people don't know about an ESA Letter, thanks for providing such useful information.
