Manchester bombing and Ariana Grande

I’m a big fan of Ariana and have been watching a few videos today. Ended up on one from Love Manchester and it just breaks my heart seeing how much she suffered with the guilt and PTSD from the attack. She recently brought out her album and added extra silence on the end of her track as a tribute to the 22 victims.

I know thousands of others suffered from trauma of the attack Too but it does all come Down to they were there to see her and that must be a hard thing to cope with for the rest of your life and be one of the most famous singers in the world at the minute. My heart breaks for her as even in her recent interviews she’s still struggling. It’s so sad to see

Yes it must be awful for her.

I do feel for her, she has to cope with being caught up on the periphery of a terrorist attack while at the same time she obviously feels ( wrongly) some responsibility for it.

Manchester resident with young dd who is a fan. Have been to a gig at the arena since with dd.
I think she's an exceptional young woman who showed such courage and empathy. I fear for people's expectations that she will be brave and perfect and wonderful all the time. That, in itself, must be very stressful. Quite apart from the trauma of the event itself.

lot of sympathy for her because of course there is no way it is her fault that her concert was targeted. Never heard of her before the bombing ( middle aged, no kids) and sadly there may be many who will associate her with it.

I hope she can get past it - whirlwind engagement not good.

I think she is wonderful. Not a huge fan of her music even though she has a beautiful voice, but her actions following the attack go to show how incredibly brave she is.

Yes v hard for her. I watched a doc about the victims of the bombing and the long term psychological effects were v sad. Even one of the mums blamed herself as she’d bought her children the tickets for the concert. There was an 11 year old girl blaming herself for not being able to do more. Some had left college or become virtual recluses. The effects on all, including Ariana will be long lasting.

I have a lot of sympathy for her and I think she struggles to speak about how hard If is for her through not wishing to disrespect victims and families.

She will carry it for the rest of her life how could she not?

What happened was in no respect her fault

Yet, there are children and parents who would be alive today if they had not been her fans, and had not paid to go and see her, and children who would not now be disabled.

What a terrible burden to bear.
