What are these on my head? Can't get rid of them

They won't go. Lots of GP's have given me different ointments and shampoos, different creams, steroid creams etc

Nothing works.

I don't have dandruff. I don't have any itching etc.

I'm sick to the death of them as I now have two areas in my head where there is a bald patch the size of a 5p

They're sore when brushing. I don't scratch or pick, yet I'll get new ones that appear or they'll just randomly pop up as open wounds!

I've even tried being careful about which shampoos I use

I'm so fed up Sad

My mum used to get this - she switched to coaltar shampoo. After a couple of months of using it and NOTHING else on her hair, it did clear up.

Looks like psoriasis. T-Gel shampoo should help. Swimming in the sea too.

Folliculitis? Just a guess.

On an aside, I know you don't have dandruff but have you tried Head and Shoulders?

I wondered if it could be eczema?
I get it on my scalp, not as many spots as you tho. Generally one, occasionally two.

DonaldLovesDoritos · 22/08/2018 12:32

Thank you TheVice, I'll try it

Head and shoulders makes me bleed Sad

I thought psoriasis was flaky etc, not little holes/wounds? They never seem to heal and are never really turning into a scab

I think it looks like folliculitis too

Also worth mentioning I've had it since the age of 8

What does your Dr say?

DonaldLovesDoritos · 22/08/2018 12:50

Dr says he isn't sure, dermatologist said eczema but nothing is helping

I think Vosene is also coal tar shampoo

RumTiTum · 22/08/2018 13:00

Try MooGoo, I had awful scalp problems which I put down to psoriasis but was never sure, MooGoo shampoo and scalp cream have really helped.

Corcra · 22/08/2018 17:40

I was going to say moogoo scalp cream and shampoo as well. I hope you get sorted.
