How old /young for Go Ape junior?

I've just checked the website and there is a height restriction, so juniors must be over 1m tall. No age restriction. Ds1 is just turned 3 and was 101cm 2 months ago. I'd love to take him but is he too young do you think? He lives outdoors active stuff but has the occasional "flap" about something til he decides it's ok. His older (10) cousin would do it, and obviously I'd go up with him too.

Has anyone do e this with a younger child? Good or bad?

We took ds when he was 3.5 he did not enjoy it - was too scared and not confident physically this will vary by child of course. took him as his big sister 5.5 was going she was a bit worried butility warmed up and enjoyed it. I think 6plus is perfect age really.

I think 3 is a little young. Even though you’ll be up there with him he will still have to walk across the activities. I would say 5-6 would be a perfect age. It was too tame by the time mine were 10 but by then they were big enough for the adult one and have done various courses many times now and always enjoy it.

My 6 year old did it recently and she is tall for her age (120cm), but has issues which mean physical things can be challenging for her.
She loved it! But there were others on the course who were shorter than her who really struggled simply due to being able to reach things confidently.

I would suggest doing clip and climb first as it meant my dd was comfortable with a harness etc and the height is more self controlled at clip and climb. We did clip and climb twice before going and she was happy at the highest height they go which meant go ape wasn't so daunting.

My 3 year loved it! Her legs needed a little help to stretch across sometimes but she was fine with me right behind her. It’s great- go for it!!

Thanks, we're not too far away so we might just got for a day out and let him see it first. I was thinking of taking his cousin separately to do the adult one so I get to do that too! I'm just a little worried he will get up there and scream the place down. If he does, I know he will get over it in a few minutes and enjoy it, but the initial reaction can be alarming to others! I'll look for a clip and climb.

My dd did it at 3.5 and loved it. However, my dc are exceptionally daring compared to most of their friends (thanks to DH who literally fears nothing).
