I haven't told anyone it's my driving test today

And I'm nervous and have no one to talk to.
Everyone thinks it's a regular lesson, except my instructor obviously so there's no one to reassure me or wish me luck.

I'm a good driver, my instructor has a good pass time rate but my nerves are going to get the better of me, I know it SadSad

Good luck!

Good luck Flowers

NewDirectionNeeded · 21/08/2018 09:29

Sending positive vibes OP Smile

I didn't tell anyone either. I think it's quite common actually. It takes the pressure off a bit I think. I passed btw- who knows? It could have helped, keeping it to myself.

Good luck! Flowers

danni0509 · 21/08/2018 09:30

good luck !!

Remember If you fail it's no big deal just book again.

The way I look at it is your first one is just for experience & if you pass then total bonus!!

StorminaTCut · 21/08/2018 09:32

I did exactly the same. I passed obvs Grin & so will you - good luck Flowers

BabySharkDooDooDooDoo · 21/08/2018 09:35

Good luck! I passed mine 11 days ago and its the best feeling ever. What really helped me is a mars bar as i went into the test centre and lots of rescue remedy Grin i passed with 4 minors

LesbianNotQueer · 21/08/2018 13:29

Hope you passed, and are now enjoying your new freedom!
Equally, never mind if you didn't, its disappointing not getting the result you want, but really is just one of the steps to ultimate success!

AdoraBell · 21/08/2018 13:32

Well done on not telling them if they would never let it go.

Hope you’ve passed, but if not then just carry on and do it again a bit later.

WooYa · 21/08/2018 13:46

How was it? Are congrats in order?

squirrelnutkins1 · 21/08/2018 14:23

Update update!!

Upsy1981 · 21/08/2018 16:50

I did the same. My mum and my BF (now DH) knew. That was all. Driving to pick DH up from MIL's when she had been one of the worst people on my case about it was brilliant! I'd failed three times. They didn't even know I was having lessons! Hope its good news!

EmpressJewel · 21/08/2018 17:26

Place marking for an update.

EggbertHeartsTina · 23/08/2018 20:32

I feel like reporting this thread for a lack of update

Joke! Hope you passed OP XX

GirlsBlouse17 · 23/08/2018 20:36

How did it go OP?

BigBumandMumTum · 27/08/2018 09:03

I passed, I don't even know how because that was not my best driving!

I was so so nervous, 6 minors, one was a stupid mistake, 2 gear errors, 1 for my speed on a country lane (too slow) 2 for left turns and one for a pedestrian jumping out at me 😒

None for being over cautious which is what I was expecting to fail on 😕

Thankyou for the support ❤️❤️

Fizzforfun · 27/08/2018 09:49

Congratulations, enjoy your new found freedom ☺

IncrediblySturdyPyjamas · 27/08/2018 09:51

Well done you!

whoop whoop

AdoraBell · 29/08/2018 18:52

Congrats 🎉💐 well done 👍

safariboot · 29/08/2018 18:56

Congrats! I think I got more minors than that, mostly for late indicating.

Telling nobody is the way to go I reckon. Means nobody's giving you pressure.

MrsMozart · 29/08/2018 19:00

Yay! Very well done Smile

TheMadGardener · 29/08/2018 22:45

Well done!!! I didn't tell anyone either apart from DH. Not even DDs. I didn't want the sympathy if I failed!

mumof2kiddos · 29/08/2018 23:10

I didnt tell even to my DH, no one in this world knew apart from I and the instructor. After I passed and called up DH to tell that I have passed finally after 4 fails, he didn't believe it initially!
