Of course it’s fine! What do you think people did before they had fridges?

PasstheStarmix · 20/08/2018 22:25

Yes as long as no meat in it I would and I’d make sure I blasted it in microwave.

Absolutely yes!

I'd eat it if it had been out on the side all day!

I am pretty anxious about stuff like this too. I’d 100% eat this though and give it to my kids. Dd regularly takes pasta in her school lunch box. They also take chicken and beef sandwiches too.

MrsICantSayMyName · 20/08/2018 22:33

It's fine don't worry about it !

Growingboys · 20/08/2018 22:35

In fact I often cook things and leave them out for the flavours to develop.

Honestly I think we're going a bit mad with food 'hygiene' nowadays. My DM is in her 80s and cuts the mould off cheese to eat it.

For gut health we need to eat more of this sort of stuff, not less.

I am another one that wouldn’t bat an eyelid.

I cook batches of beef stew in the winter and leave it out on the hob for the few days it usually takes me to plough through it all. I would never put it in the fridge, it tastes loads better a few days later.

I have also been known to pick off tiny bits of mould on bread if I’ve already toasted it and too hungry to consider doing another piece.
