Passport picture

I've taken DS's picture in a booth and thought it looked OK. However, you can't see all of his shoulders, you can see all of his neck and some of his shoulders.
Will it be acceptable do you think? It's a renewal.

There is no requirement to have shoulders in the photo.

This line diagram showing sizes doesn’t have shoulders...

I think its better to have passport photos done by a photographer that way it is done by someone who knows what they are doing, and who will do it again for free if it goes wrong.

booths just eat up money with no guarantee the results will be acceptable

You don't need shoulders. Its more important to have the face without shadows or expression.

Thank you, I've been reading 'head and shoulders' on all the info but couldn't see how much shoulder is needed.

I have used the paspic website for passport photos. Upload a picture from your phone/ tablet and they post you back passport compliant photos

Using a booth seemed to be the easiest for us, but actually it wasn't and yes it wasn't cheap either.
