What's good to buy in Lidl?

I've realised that shopping in Sainsbury's is ruddy expensive and have started shopping in my local Lidl.

Only thing is I'm not sure about the meat. How is it for mince, chicken thighs, gammon joints etc?

Also what else as well is good in there? Find it a bit difficult as they don't always have everything we need and it's a bit random.

Knightsbridge gold tea bags, is the BEST tea ever.

Parmesan, chorizo, sugar, flour, pork steaks.

I dont use any if the hand wash or washing up liquid as I've used it at a relatives and am allergic to it. So for that reason I haven't tried the washing powder either.

I’m in NI and love their tea bags. Farrons I think they’re called.

Also, I know it’s not groceries, but my dad who is very particular, raves about their power tools and their workmen shoes. He’s very quick to complain when stuff is rubbish and so far Lidl hasn’t let him down.

The gluten free nut bars are lovely, if not especially cheap. The Belgian chocolate premium cheesecake is amazing.

Nuts.

Great quality and the cheapest out of all shops.

Meatballs are lovely and Bavarian ham

Chocolate buttons!
Their finest cheese is amazing
Thai green chicken stir fry mix or Chinese sir fry mix (in with fresh meat section) are great
Face wipes
Nappies are fab, IMO better than Aldi
Anything from the bakery! It's so good and so cheap
Fresh pizzas
Tinned soups, tuna, pasta sauces and passata all good quality
Microwave rice
Imitation lager
Fresh fruit and veg I've never had any more issues with than the cheap range in Tesco but it's annoying you can't buy single carrots, potatoes etc
Baby food pouches, limited range but my son loves them. Ditto their imitation organix mini rice cakes

IMO avoid - fajitas mix, the salsa was gross, very sweet like jam; their squash/ cordial is cheap and nasty and all full of artificial sweeteners; I'm yet to find a decent wine despite hearing good things, although the prosecco and champagne is fine; flavoured yogurts same as their squashes; I wasn't impressed with their shampoo and conditioner; handwash, we've had bad experiences of the pumps just not working!
