Travel sickness cures/remedies?!

Dd is 10 and suffers from travel sickness, not great as we have a touring caravan and like to go travelling quite a bit.
Thankfully, she doesn’t actually vomit but is queasy the whole journey and for quite sometime after and then doesn’t want to go out in the car to visit places.
She is worse when sitting in the back and always travels in the front now but it still hasn’t cured it.
Any suggestions?

Ginger helps me if I feel sick ( great for trapped wind too )
Fresh is best , use about a inch cut into thin slices , in about a pint and half of water , bring to fast boil for a few mins then simmer till you have about a pint. This can be drank hot ( lovely and warming spicy ) or cool / ice cold.
Small frequent sips, don t guzzle it .

Oh and keep the bits of ginger in the water as you drink it , nibble on them too.

What have you tried? Some people have success with the acupuncture bands. There are some really effective medicines which are good for longer drives. Or sitting on newspaper was what used to happen on school trips.

Shortgreengiraffe, did the sitting on newspaper work?

I didn't personally sit on it but people reported success. I gather it is (apparently) something to do with reducing friction. It could be a placebo effect though.

And if it fails you don't get vom on the coach seats...

The only thing that works for me - and I feel travel sick even in a bus - are the wristband things . I was once about to go on a ferry for a rough crossing and dreading it. As a last resort, I tried the wristbands. I was , it seemed, the only person on the ferry who did not either feel sick or throw up. Sadly, they were no help with morning sickness. But they are genius otherwise.

I give dd Stugeron 15. Always seems to work for her.
