What do dogs dream about?

Dog is lying next to me, paws flailing, lips flapping, squeaking and grunting, I'd love to know what they dream about. Do you think they dream of all the things they love, in my dog's case, swimming, eating, playing with her friends

My cat suckles in his sleep like he's got an invisible dummy in his mouth. It's very cute.

They dream about the same things as us:

Going into an exam without revising
Being on a plane when it's about to crash
Shagging an ugly colleague

I like to think mine dreams about catching all those squirrels, cats and pigeons that torment him when he is awake.

Not sure I want to know what he was dreaming about when he started growling Hmm

Sometimes I notice my dog dreaming more than usual after we've been for a big day out somewhere new. So I reckon he is dreaming about running up that hill, that squirrel which got away, the mouldy sandwich he found in the ditch. Sometimes his dreams get a bit frantic. I reckon that´ s when the squirrel turns out to be 10 feet tall and have giant fangs.

Rabbits and squirrels

my GSD was such a dreamer...honestly I'd have to put my hands or feet on him so many times a day cos he'd be whiffling away or running in his sleep, he'd howl sometimes and wake himself, or the other dog...he rarely dreamt!
I used to worry really cos he always looks quite surprised and relieved when i woke him.

current pup is also a dreamer but he woofles and growls to himself so goodness only knows what he is imagining. Sometimes he really wags his tail and bangs it on the floor and wakens himself, that's always funny!

I'd love to know too.
Madam doesn't do anything but puppy yips very loudly for a good few mins at a time

My dog is deaf and has never barked when awake but often does in her sleep. More often than dreaming though she farts herself awake.
