I am making a birthday cake and have found a silver covered cake board from a previous occasion. Can I reuse it? If so, how do I clean it?

TIA!

Absolutely! Damp cloth and a little washing up liquid. Don’t scrub too hard! If it looks a little tatty just recover in fresh tinfoil.

Another yes here! Tin foil is great even over chopping boards when you realise last thing that you bought the wrong size board !

Yep covered in foil (dull side up for me). Have also used biscuit tin lids covered in foil as makeshift cake board.

Yes, what they all said.

So, board done, next question, how do I get sprinkles to stick out fondant icing?!? Brush warm water?

Wish I'd never embarked on thisSad

I've only ever used buttercream to stick sprinkles on.

For sprinkles on fondant I used edible glue. Can either be bought in a bottle or you can make it up yourself quite easily. Google edible glue recipe. Stuck really well!

Have had a look, has to be something I have in the cupboards!
