Not sure you should be showing to other people's kids to be honest. I find it very funny but the stuff Jay comes out with is awful really!! 15 cert films are more like 18s now.

All hose who have said no really don't u sweats d 13 years old got they'll have seen worse

Yes I would not a problem

Thirtyrock39 · 22/08/2018 08:47

It's an 18 I think
My dh thought our nearly 13 yo would like the inbetweeners to general horror from our friends
My issue with it is that I'd be worried 13 yos might miss the irony and think characters like jay and the attitudes towards women etc are admirable
As an older teenager or adult it's obvious that jay is quite a tragic character but I'd be concerned that younger teenagers might see him as a role model
It is hilarious though

nostaples you really have missed the boat with that attitude. Do you really think that naice teens will choose to watch only wholesome, ethically and morally correct movies? Do you actually have any teenagers in your life Grin

CakeNinja · 22/08/2018 18:06

I’m not sure I’d be suggesting they watched it but I wouldn’t be annoyed if they had seen it.
I was quite judgy when dd had a friend round a few years ago and she said she’d been watching the inbetweeners with her mum - at aged 10! And she wasn’t even pretending, she told me about the episode that had been on the previous one that had been on the night before Shock

nostaples · 22/08/2018 19:01

Two teenagers of my own thanks @PenelopeShitStop and have been teaching teenagers for 20 years. I have high standards in both of these roles and find it pays off!

nostaples · 22/08/2018 19:02

And if a parent had ever showed my kids that film when they were 13 they certainly wouldn't have been returning to that house.

meadowmeow · 22/08/2018 19:06

I'm with nostaples in this one.

It doesn't matter that they have heard worse in the school yard. What we present to our children is important.

Helmetbymidnight · 22/08/2018 19:09

I wouldn’t approve but I wouldn’t be annoyed. I might think - meh...

I like the inbetweeners but I don’t think it’s for young teens.

NeepNeepNeep · 22/08/2018 19:19

The first Inbetweeners is an 18. The second a 15. I wouldn't approve. Why are you asking anyway?

Littleoakhorn · 22/08/2018 19:20

I would. With a bit of luck it will put them off similar behaviour as the main characters are all so ridiculous.

QOD · 22/08/2018 21:04

A friend put it on when dd aged 12/13 was around. I was MORTIFIED 😂
Dd announced ‘films and tv shows have age categories for a reason mum’
And then would not watch a 15 until she was 15 ... an 18 until she was 18

Girlsnightin · 22/08/2018 21:09

Did they switch off before the dancing in the club scene.
Like a pp said I wish I could watch it again without knowing what would happen. I cried with laughter first time round.
