What do your secondary aged dc take in their packed lunch?

I don't think I can afford 5 days of school meals atm so dd1 is likely to have a pack-up, at least a few days a week.

She wants it to be a bit more grown up though - unfortunately this extends further than buying a grown up lunch box.

Any ideas? She'd usually take sandwich/pasta/wraps, fruit, yogurt and something like a bun.

I thought that was ok but apparently it's not because it's pretty much what 8yo dd2 takes for her lunch Confused

DD (14) makes herself a wrap or white bread sarnie, wraps it in foil and chucks it in her bag. She'll also grab a bag of crisps or a flapjack and chuck them in her bag with a bottle of water. Apparently nobody uses lunch boxes, so they must all just have squashed lunches Grin

DD uses a Sistema lunch box too, the one with the sections.
Her school has the fingerprint thing so they don’t need to take any money to school but if I top it up on ParentPay she can get a snack at break or a drink.
