Best waterproof sheets?

Sorry for the dull post.

DS’s waterproof sheets have stopped being waterproof, so I’m washing a few sets each time.

I need to buy some more but can’t afford the Hippychick ones we had.

I see that lots of adult incontinence shops sell them - are they any good?

Can anyone particularly recommend any?

Many thanks for any answers!

Dreams had a good choice last time we were there ...

Also Dunelm Mills and Boundary Mills, if you can get to one.

Have you tried the waterproof bed pads? You can buy them on Amazon. I don't know how to link but if you search for "Waterproof bed pad protector by GuradedSleep | Premium quality washable sheet and mattress protector for adults and children with incontinence | Extra long in size fits double and single beds" you'll see the ones I mean.

I have only just realised that you put these pads ON TOP OF THE SHEET so that they wick away wet. You can have a few of them on top of each other and you can just whip the top one off during the night if you need to and the next one is right there. Easier to wash and dry than a full sheet as well.

Inco pads ?

Another tip is to make your bed: waterproof protector-basesheet-waterproofprotector-basesheet.

That way, if there's an accident, you can whip the top 2 layers off, and jump back into bed.

(We learned that tip from a restaurant that did it with tableclothes).

If you do get a waterproof cover, make sure you follow the washing instructions. We ruined one by letting it spin dry.

Go for the lasagne method!
Layers of sheets and waterproof pads so you can just whip a layer off at a time

Hmm, interesting. MN have added a bit to my URL Hmm. Presumably they'll pay tax on the kickback they get from Amazon ?

I use Ikea gokart ones. They only cover the top of the bed so I wrap a disposable bed mat around the side at about the right level for where he sleeps.

Thanks all. I have bought some from Amazon.

I do the layering, but the sheets are so ineffective one accident soaks about 6 layers!

When I was at uni we had an awful waterproof mattress but it was totally wipe clean and waterproof. I briefly Googled it when considering mattresses when my youngest went into a bed and foresaw a few years of toilet training and vomiting etc.

Anyway, they really weren't that expensive, although they are rustly. I'd probably get a mattress topper.
