If you were 40, using a coil, but 2 days late...

But your last period was a week early, would you suspect you were pregnant?

Have failed four tests but have history of failing tests when VERY pregnant...

Have felt tired dizzy and nauseous at various stages over last ten days Shock plus various other delightful symptoms have experienced before such as constipated, starving and ‘larger’ (come from a family where strangers can guess you’re pregnant from about 9 weeks in, look 9 months pregnant at 5 months etc).

No history of early menopause in family, indeed many healthy births in forties from grandmothers.

What do you think? Been using Superdrug tests, but about to spring for a clearblue fancy one for tomorrow morning. Or am I being mental????

Hmmm.

Yes that’s what I would have though, cute, but I went to the early pregnancy centre in the mat wing of a big hospital in London, and they said their policy was not to do a blood test unless they did a urine test and it was positive? Which I did think was back to front? Anyway, it will be really hard for me to get to the gp before Friday, so I’m just going to sit about and fret until then.

Another person here who got pregnant with a copper coil. It had moved slightly and wasn't doing the job. Had no idea could still feel the strings etc Confused

I didn’t get pregnant luckily but I had a coil shift and it was just good luck I realised. Was told by the GP I saw it’s common enough as to see a couple of women a year pregnant on a coil.

LittleMouseontheDairy · 20/08/2018 14:33

I’ve always thought that if you were pregnant enough to have symptoms you’d be pregnant enough for sonething to show up on a test.
So if the tests are showing negative then the symptoms should logically be from another cause?

However I know the body works in mysterious ways!! Good luck for Friday - hopefully things will become clearer.

Incrediblepregable · 20/08/2018 14:55

Yes Mouse that is completely rational and logical, but I have a history of false negatives, and extensive (frantic) googling reveals it to be quite a thing. So can’t quite let go of the thought.

I think perimenopause is more likely than pregnancy, since your last period was early.

How are you, @Incrediblepregable ?
