If you had a bad night with your small DD last night...

And perhaps your DH wasn't as D as he might have been. And perhaps you're a bit worried that your neighbour is annoyed about the noise, said neighbour would like to reassure you that she remembers this age and has a few war stories of her own. Said neighbour would also like to point out that, while said neighbour is out today, generally she is at home with access to criminally strong coffee should you require it.

Said neighbour will not be coming round or mentioning last night at all because said neighbour does not want you to feel embarrassed or obliged in any way but said neighbour is pretty confident you're a mumsnetter so hopes that, if nothing else, this post will relieve any worries on that score and let you know that you are always welcome for a chat and a moan if you need it. Said neighbour is hoping that today is a more restful day for you and that DD is doing okay.

Much love, sympathy and fellow feeling.

Marmite how brilliant, think you’ve got the best idea there just forget night and day and roll with it. I will definitely remember my lovely neighbour when I’m the one listening to a small person next door. We’re moving soon and I’m mostly sad to leave her! We’ve had some really nice chats since then, she’s got two teenagers and she is so gentle and nice and kind. Her house is always full of great hulking teenage boys, she’s that mum who has the house where everyone congregates because it’s so welcoming and there’s always loads of cake. She’s my mumspiration Grin
