We are off pod camping at the weekend dor two nights to Wales. Me husband and DD1 DD3 I have started to pack some bits today.

We have

Uht milk

3 x porridge pots
9 cereal bars
Packet of biscuits
multibag of cheetos
3 x pasta n sauce
Hotdogs ( will get buns on the way)
primula cheese
tuc crackers.
Marshmallows and sticks (for camp fire)
Tea
coffee
sugar
disposable bbq
plastic cutlery
sharp knife
paper plates
x2 plastic bowls
the kids will have there own cups

The campsite does fresh wood fire pizzas onsite thats our first night tea sorted. Going to buy some lamb locally hopefully to have bbq for tea on the sat night.

Is this enough as a bit of a staple back up of foods we have a few stuff to get on the way including a nice bottle of red Wine for when kids are snoozing.

Have you got a mini chopping board to chop things with your sharp knife? We got through a lot of wraps and nuts/seeds, also pasta if you have boiling water. Depends what you eat though Grin

Finfintytint · 14/08/2018 16:41

Washing up bowl, glasses for your wine and corkscrew.

You're only staying two nights? Eating out for one. Think that's a shit ton of snacks!

scrappydappydoo · 14/08/2018 16:44

Tea towel and dishcloth - I always forget those.

Andtheresaw · 14/08/2018 16:44

Does the pod have a kettle?

Whatsthisbear · 14/08/2018 16:46

How will you heat water for hot drinks & your pasta? Are you taking a camping stove and kettle or is that available with the pod?

BeachyUmbrella · 14/08/2018 16:47

Kitchen roll
Matches

fruitpastille · 14/08/2018 16:47

I'd take fresh milk personally. Does the pod have a fridge or cool box?

TheCag · 14/08/2018 16:48

More than one bottle of wine! Grin

undeecided · 14/08/2018 16:51

Not food but don't forget a torch

MrsMotherHen · 14/08/2018 16:53

mildshock · 14/08/2018 17:09

Ooh I'm just back from camping in Wales, you'll have a lovely time Grin

We went for 3 nights in tents. There were 7 total, including DS1 (4) and DS2 (11 months).

Aside from chopping board, blankets and tea towel, you have plenty. We came home with a lot of the food we took anyway.

What part of Wales are you going to? If Pembrokeshire, try The Shed in Porth Gain for fish and chips. They were the best I've ever had.

MrsMotherHen · 14/08/2018 17:16

Jozxyqk · 14/08/2018 18:24

Couple of clothes pegs. Useful as you can peg tea towels & face cloths out on the guylines to dry a little bit.

TheCrowFromBelow · 14/08/2018 18:29

Your pod looks lovely
You’ll need sheets as well if you are only taking duvets..
Have you got torches/solar camping lamps? Useful for getting around especially if you don’t want to risk dropping your phone down the loo.

Jozxyqk · 14/08/2018 19:03

Ah sorry I missed that you're pod camping!

bellinisurge · 14/08/2018 19:57

Cricceith castle is not to far. Best chips I've ever had second only to ones I had at Whitby.

Blobby10 · 14/08/2018 19:58

Bags for life - lots of them and - if you still have any- plenty of the old style plastic bags , just in case it gets really wet and you need something to stand trainers or shoes on to stop them getting damp x

ICouldBeSomebodyYouKnow · 14/08/2018 20:06

Fridge?? We just used to put our milk bottles outside in a poly bag overnight.

But - microwave and kettle: is this what they call glamping? (Love the sound of the pod, BTW).

All the fresh air when you are camping is fabulous.
