I need some inspiration - would anyone like to show me their living room?

I’m sitting here staring at my boring magnolia walls wondering what I can do to jazz things up a bit. I’m on a tight budget so no point flicking through the glossy magazines, I’m interested in ordinary people & ordinary homes.

Can’t resist sharing pictures of various rooms and we have recently redecorated most rooms. We went for navy on one wall.

Yep. It’s teal. I just paint dark rooms dark and bold, and add orange and lamps. No point fighting it. We do have lots of fish, and a chunky cat too :)

What a great thread. Loving all your photos and ideas, we moved last autumn and its all very magnolia still at ours. Small living room so not sure how bold it could take. Looking for mirror for over fireplace so will check out Dunelm and J Lewis.

Some people have really great instincts about home making, I am slightly in awe of that streak of creativity. Cozy rooms and fun with colours.

I, still undecided about my art work that I made so it’s only hung up very temporarily

Not read thread. Op pinterest is brilliant for inspiration and you can ask for specific things eg rug in front of fireplace, white sofas, long curtains bay window.

Your rug is dragging that room down. But room has lots of potential!

Thank you everyone for all your kind help and advice, I am ‘on the case’ and will pop up an ‘after’ photo as soon as I’m finished. There’s not an awful lot to do really so shouldn’t take too long.
